&#;
Android Wear smartwatches are now compatible with iOS. Well, some of them are. And all the ones coming in the future will be. Because watches are where it's at.

According to Wired all you need to do to make your Android Wear watch compatible with iOS is download an app.

Then the thing on your wrist and the thing in your pocket will have nice chats and you'll be able to check your messages with slightly less movement.

Right now only one smartwatch, the terribly named LG Watch Urbane, is officially supported, but apparently the Moto 360 also works.

Mark Brown told me the Moto 360 was awful though, so that's something to consider.
Watch(!?!) this space
You don't get all the functionality of the Apple Watch, mind. You get iOS notifications, notifications from some Google apps, track your fitness with Google Fitness, voice search with Google Now, and some other bits and bobs.

The functionality is included in one app, so you don't have to mess around downloading loads of bits.

Probably best just to get an Apple Watch if you're that bothered, or use an Android blower with your Android wrist bangle.

Following a stint in beta, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is available now for iOS. It's mind-boggling to think that Gwent started as a merely a part of The Witcher 3 and it's now it's become a massive entity in its own right that, as of today you can play on your phone.

It's a fairly simple game in concept, which is probably why it's done so well. You can play any card that's in your hand without any mana restrictions, though you can only play one per turn. This means you could start the game with your most powerful unit or save them for later on.

It's played over three rounds meaning a lot of strategies is involved in deciding where and when to play certain cards. There's two different rows for melee and ranged cards and you simply have to have more points than your opponent to clinch a round, win two rounds and you've won the match. It's certainly not hard to understand at a base level but you'll be surprised by how many different tactics are actually involved with Gwent.
And deep-brained sonnets that did amplify

The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle's second episode has been a potential no-show for quite a while, and though we were supposed to get the latest instalment tomorrow, July 20th, it's been pushed on a bit.

Whereon the thought might think sometime it sawBidding them find their sepulchres in mud;

    "It would be stranger if they weren't," said Marilla crisply. Now that all was safely over, Marilla was herself again.
[Update] An Android VR placeholder has been sighted on the dashboard of Google Play's Developer Console.

Those who have access have signed in today and seen it alongside Android Wear, Android TV, and Android Auto.

Clicking it doesn't do anything as yet, but this is further evidence that the company will announce a standalone VR headset at their I/O event next week.

[Original Story] Google are holding an I/O event next week and are widely expected to announce a standalone Android VR headset.

A former technology journalist, Peter Rojas, has managed to get the scoop through his sources.

A series of tweets were posted yesterday from his personal account and several sites were quick to jump on the news.
Android VR will definitely be announced next week, and from what I’ve heard will be less powerful than the Vive or Rift.— Peter Rojas (@peterrojas) May 11, 2016 The key message seems to be that it will be less powerful than Vive or Rift. This could mean that Google are trying to tackle the mid-level market that Playstation VR are attempting to secure.

What is clear is that this will be a much different project to Cardboard as that can be inserted into any phone Android phone and used on a supported library of games.

This headset, however, is rumoured to be completely standalone. You won't even need a PC to plug it into.
Correct. Android VR will be a standalone headset. https://t.co/66NibcpfxK— Peter Rojas (@peterrojas) May 11, 2016 We know Google are onboard with VR and have supported it from the very beginning, but currently Samsung are leading the charge with the Gear going from strength to strength.

Is this Google's way of trying to go to the next level? We'll find out for sure next week.
