A fairly small piece of news concerning Pokemon Masters today is the start of a new type-specific training event. On top of that, two new Sync Pairs will have their Sync Grid expanded to coincide with it. There are also several rewards on offer too that will be handy for expanding those Sync Grids.

This training event will be for dragon-type Pokemon and it will run from today until 20th February. On top of that, it will also see Iris & Haxorus and Clair & Kingdra have their Sync Grids expanded, allowing you to make them more powerful with more interesting options than just increasing their base stats.

There will be vouchers on offer that can be exchanged to increase the level of their Sync Moves. Both Sync Pairs are acquired from the story - Iris in Chapter 9 and Clair in Chapter 13 - so it's a good opportunity for every player to upgrade their dragon duos.

Alongside the battles that you'll earn vouchers by beating, there are also missions you can complete that will net you extra vouchers as rewards. There will also be gems on offer from them too but most importantly, co-op Sync Orbs, with 1000 on offer for those who are willing to grind the missions repeatedly to obtain them.

As always, they're not difficult objectives - more time-consuming. It's a case of repeatedly clearing specific areas, whilst having at least 1 dragon-type on your team. Which you're likely to be doing anyway since they're gaining bonus experience from winning these battles. This extra xp will prove useful as you will have to tackle the singleplayer mission 'A Dragon of the Deep Sea' on Super Hard repeatedly to earn the co-op Sync Orbs.

Pokemon Masters is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Need friends in Pokémon Masters? Share your friend codes here!

The Pokémon Company have just released Pokémon Style, an app that lets you customise your Android or iOS device.

The themes available are mostly based off lines of merchandise available from Japanese Pokémon Centers, like Nemuri Pikachu and Eevee Mansion (pictured below).

You'll need to be running Android 4.0 / iOS 7.0 or above to get it working.

Unfortunately, iOS doesn't support icon customisation, so that feature will be limited to the Android version.

Both free and premium themes are available. Premium themes cost ¥200 (£1.10 / $1.69), although a selection are currently available at half price until February 25.

The Android version is out now on the Japanese Google Play Store, with an iOS version to follow soon on the App Store.

Would you pick this up if it came to the West? "Well, there wasn't anything else TO give him," said Captain Jim deprecatingly. "Nothing a dog'd care for, that is. I reckon he WAS hungry, for he made about two bites of it. I had a fine sleep the rest of the night but my dinner had to be sorter scanty--potatoes and point, as you might say. The dog, he lit out for home this morning. I reckon HE weren't a vegetarian."
"No." Captain Jim looked sheepish. "Just at bedtime a poor, ornery sort of dog came along and asked for a night's lodging. Guess he belonged to some of the fishermen 'long shore. I couldn't turn the poor cur out--he had a sore foot. So I shut him in the porch, with an old bag to lie on, and went to bed. But somehow I couldn't sleep. Come to think it over, I sorter remembered that the dog looked hungry."Video Game stats and accomplishments
